Our bed was nice and we were satisfied with Italian linens. Location of the property, lovely area. Worth its 5 stars.
-
Spend our time here greatly. We liked the room with a heating system, flat-screen television and a work desk.
-
We loved our pleasant rooms and the staff were EFFICIENT. Within walking distance to Eataly, where you can have lunch.
-
The general atmosphere, stylish people, and choice of bars and a superb restaurant all combined with a great location make this hotel a winner.
-
Wonderful hotel, nicely appointed, excellent staff - great all around.
-
We loved the fragrance of the candles you use--a greeting that lingers. We loved the room with its comfy beds, crystal wine glasses and good light for reading.
-
The style of this hotel is stunning! Beautiful vibrant colour and style - very unusual, which I love. The bars are gorgeous but very much for the 'beautiful people'. The location is amazing - perfect to walk everywhere in New York.
It seemed very commercial - hotel products to purchase and if you wanted something like a bandaid you had to buy a whole kit for a huge cost. Anything outside of your room cost wasnt cheap - but I guess this is New York and to be expected.

We were very disappointed that having booked 4 months in advance we received a poor rate and were given a dark room under a construction area and next to an elevator. There was no notification either by email or on the website that the roof terrace was closed for renovation during our stay which was one of main reasons for staying there. otherwise, it is a nice hotel...good design but we had a poor room and high rate.

Very comfortable and well located boutique style hotel in mid-town Manahattan

GPH is an oasis of calm in the busy Flatiron district. It is just across the street from the only private park in the city. The rooms are generous and recently renovated.
-
The location is nice and the hotel has personality. I also loved the works of art and how they are presented. And the breakfast on the terrace. Rooms are typical of a quite old hotel, and lack some postmodern amenities. If you look for a state-of-the-art contemporary business hotel there are other choices. But, having business in the area, I loved the somewhat bohemian experience. I guess ultimately the decision whether to stay here would depend on the willingness to sacrifice certain comforts of modern Hilton-style rooms for the magic of living in a piece of history and of having breakfast facing an Andy Warhol masterpiece.
-
Truly original and stylish design/decor, an experience in itself to stay there.
We would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in our room
-
Great location, interiors & breakfast. Staff helpful & friendly particularly those serving breakfast on the terrace.
Was frequently disturbed in my room by noise coming from the corridor. Internet connection costs $16/day and there is not a movie channel on the tv.
-
I like the interior design, with all modern art hanging on the walls. The bars at the entrance is lovely and the rooftop breakfast room is wonderful. I also like the coulors in the rooms and through the entire Hotel.
Perhaps the service personal working at the roof top breakfast room could put a bigger smile on their face.

Location was great - near Gramercy Park and Union Square. Also enjoyed the brunch and view at the Gramercy Park Terrace restaurant.
Room looked dated
